Food Sensitivity Testing

Food and food-chemical sensitivities remain an under-addressed area in conventional medicine. Many chronic conditions may be made worse by these sensitivities.

The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is a blood test patented by Oxford Biomedical Technologies. It was designed to not only measure which foods and food-chemicals may be causing an inflammatory response, but it also measures the degree. It is superior to IgG (Immunoglobulin G) food sensitivity testing that is often advertised to the general public. It also takes any "guess work" out of traditional elimination diet protocols commonly used.

Once MRT results are obtained and analyzed by your Dietitian, an individualized diet protocol is designed for you. The goal is to calm the immune system and reduce inflammation. Once this happens, your negative symptoms will usually improve or may disappear altogether!

Nutrient Testing

Nutrient deficiencies can happen for various reasons. A poor or limited diet, malabsorption, medications, food sensitivities, and certain chronic diseases can all play a role. When measuring standard blood levels, low levels can often be overlooked. Micronutrient testing measures how micronutrients are actually functioning within your white blood cells and is a superior tool for many vitamin and mineral levels. It helps to maximize your overall nutrition and takes the guess work out of whether or not supplementation is needed. Recommendations for supplementation and/or food sources to regain healthy levels will be given.

Gastrointestinal (GI) Testing

There are multiple options for testing to help with getting to the root cause of your GI symptoms when diet changes aren't enough. Some of the additional testing offered through our office include:

SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) breath testing

Sucrose, Fructose, and Lactose Malabsorption breath testing

Microbiome stool testing

Nutrition Related Genetic Testing

Research is expanding every day on the involvement of our genetic SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) and how they effect our health. Nutrition genomics can help to both solve current health issues and prevent future health problems.

Nutrition Dynamix offers nutrition related genetic testing with plans to continue to expand our offerings over time.
